Martin: (Laughs) We have time.Matthias: At the\u2026 <a class=\"wp-block-latest-posts__read-more\" href=\"https:\/\/humansofwp.org\/en\/matthias-pfefferle\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Read more<span class=\"screen-reader-text\">: Matthias Pfefferle<\/span><\/a><\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:42px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"readmore\">What\u2019s the idea behind \u201cHumans of WordPress\u201d?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With the community project \u201cHumans of WordPress\u201d Martin Wolfer wanted to combine the photographic language of&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.humansofnewyork.com\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Humans of New York<\/a>&nbsp;and that of his project \u201c<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ich-bin-deutsch.land\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ich bin Deutsch<\/a>\u201d with the basic idea of&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/heropress.com\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">HeroPress<\/a>&nbsp;but go one step further: The textual and photographic content for Humans of WordPress is to be created in direct, personal conversations. In addition, I would like to expand the circle of potentially participating people to include the group of pure WordPress users. In 2021 the project joined the <a href=\"https:\/\/krautpress.eu\/\">KrautPress<\/a> family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why is personal contact so essential to us?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We live in a more and more digitized world. We communicate online across locations, cities, and countries, and that\u2019s a good thing.<br>But \u2013 what can easily get lost is personal, interpersonal contact.<br>If Martin learned one thing during the work on his project \u201cIch bin Deutsch\u201d, it would be the experience of personal and emphatic interaction during the interviews. This direct contact creates its own space \u2013 it does something with the participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">More Information &amp; Links<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>During Martins&#8217;s talk on WordCamp Stuttgart (08th &#8211; 10th November 2019), he started &#8220;Humans of WordPress&#8221;.<br>If you&#8217;re interested, you can watch his (German)&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.tv\/2019\/11\/10\/martin-wolfert-besser-gemeinsam-als-einsam-besser-zusammen-als-gegeneinander\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">talk online on WordPress TV<\/a>.<br>His project against racism and discrimination,&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ich-bin-deutsch.land\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&#8220;Ich bin Deutsch&#8221;<\/a>&nbsp;is still active.
